Whats wrong with the one you have?? Kits are available. Easy carb to rebuild.

I think John is referring to me. His carb is currently on my car. Problem is, I moved recently and can't easily lay my hands on the other one. I'll check this weekend.

The one I have has a dead stop when you press on the gas. I did rebuild it. There was another one that came with the car so I rebuild it, no dead spot but the car would not idle. So I thought I would try one more.

Have built a BUNCH of these carbs down through the years. Usually a dead spot is just an adjustment to the accelerator pump linkage. 50 year old part gets wear at the linkage pivot points/sloppy. I bend the linkage till the pump starts working just as the throttle opens. Wont idle is usually a plugged idle circuit passage. Hardest thing with these carbs is rebushing the throttle shaft.
