Thanks Gents, This will not be raced, just a "driver". I sometimes see guys running 15-20 lbs of boost and say, "WTF"! I guess they are mostly for the track, or someone has a 110 octane still in thier back yard!.......my big problem is gonna be traction....I didn't tub at all (stoopid) so the most meat I can put on the ground is gonna be about 11".............smoke machine!!?? Yes, a smoke machine Eric.....lol. But you can tub it later if you need to. There are some very fast cars on small tires though these days. Way faster than mine. Nice thing about my turbo is that its zero boost most of the time under regular driving conditions. I could boost to 20 psi if I want though. Low compression, intercooler and methanol/water injection under boost will handle the octane issue. 91+ gas will be sufficient for me.

Thanks Aron, We have 93 octane here (allegedly) at Hess and Sunoco. I would like to run on that if I can..If not I can get some 105 from a "local guy". 6 or 8 lbs. ought to keep me happy.....for a while!

I showed 760hp at the tire years back with a 462ci, iron heads, 2 old 850's I modded myself and a BDS 8-71 with about 12-13lbs. 8.9:1 and 8lbs will be something to be careful with with pump fuel, unless you're doing some trickery with the cam events or pulling timing... The E's seem to like a bunch of timing in my experience as well - I was up to 34deg before they quit pulling more mph at 12lbs and 8:1. That was versus 25deg with the same tuneup and iron. They should help the pump gas deal though... Gdlk!

I'd guess about 5% under should put you pretty close on a pump gas deal with a BDS stage 1 or 2 8-71 on a 505ci. Maybe setup pulleys for 5 under/5 over for street and track fun. Gdlk!

Be sure to keep it out of valve float with that hydraulic roller - shift at a reasonable rpm. Blowers, rpm's, and hydraulic lifters aren't the best bed friends...

Torment, I THINK, 8 lbs is 1 to 1 driven...so 6 lbs is underdriven. I am gonna set the rev limiter at 5500 to start......I doubt the car will ever go to the track...Thanks for the good info!! Eric

If you can get that power to the ground on a 11" tire then you should look at a different suspension set up. They are putting down way more power then that on 275/60 drag radials. Figured Id toss that out there lol.
