Default Vinyl Top for 65

I am needing to purchase a vinyl top for my 65 GTO. Who makes the best and most original looking vinyl top for a 1965 GTO?

Legendary started making them, and given the quality of everything I've bought from them over the years that's where I'm getting mine.

They have a 25% off Christmas sale going on at the moment too.

A few months ago, a gal from Legendary was looking to get original car's vinyl for each year GTO, and ,if successful, it probably is really close to the original material. I didn't know they had it in stock yet??!! Larry B.

It's listed on the website as available. I'll find out when I place my order I guess.

Hello all,

Yes, we do have the new vinyl tops available.

These have the correct surface finish as well as the proper sateen backing.

Made in the USA.

I have an email into Legendary to see about that rear window thing. I can't say what the quality of the others are like but I've used a lot of Legendary on my Mopars, if it isn't right they'll make it right.

Plus it's american made, that's worth something to me.

Mine should be here any day and I'll let you know, I was told it was on there. it would be worthless without it.

Whatever the case Ledgendary will make it right.

Well it's not there.

I'll call them in the morning and I'm sure they'll fix it or refund me but I'm surprised they'd screw up like that they're the best on the market.

Thanks Dean........I talked to the rep yesterday and they said they would call me back twice. One from the first time and this time.My concern was the lay of the grain on the filler strip not matching up.........JB.

I'm not sure the grain is a pattern that you'd notice the difference.

What I'm not sure about is is that strip sewn in or is it one peice with the window cut out? I'd think it was sewn in but I don't know.

Well a week later and nobody at Legendary seems to know what to do about it, fix it or take it back seems to be my answer.

Last week I talked to them and they were going to get back to me, this week I just leave voice mails with their service dept and nobody returns the calls. I'm sure they'll take care of it but this isn't the way I've been treated by them in the past.

Thanks for the call Ron it was good talking to you. I'm sure the finished product will be great like everything else I've bought from you over the years.

I've always had great customer service from Ledgendary , obviously we just had a glitch in communication.
