Does anybody know if the later replacement wheel wells for the 68-69 from gm were slightly different than the original? Did gm add a cutout for the heater motor on pass side on them? Thanks

GM did not add a cut out to the ps wheel well but it is in the service manual to do so for motor replacement. My aftermarket front wheel houses fit pretty well for me. I replaced one because of the hole and screwed in plate, the other was rusty from the battery.
Hope this helps, George |

Thanks for reply. The one I have doesn't have a hole in it or a plate. It has an outline for cutting the hole for heater motor. I'm wondering if the replacement parts had this or is this for a 70-71? The date code I found is 18 A 2 ( or close to that )which I think is 1972? Other than a few slight differences along the bottom edge they look the same. Any bodyshop seen these before? |
