Default 79 Firebird Resto-Mod

Since i am building a new motor i decided it was time to upgrade/change a few things. I will be repainting my car at Work in either red or black (still undecided) as i am not happy with it currently.
Exterior:
Straighten out the doors as well as the fender gaps. I plan on replacing the hood, hinges, windshield, gas tank and drivers door glass. I am going to upgrade to a Posi rear end, 3" true dual exhaust, and full suspension. I am also planning a 77 Bumper and and 77 LED Tailights along with the sheet metal i need to convert it. I also plan on going with 6000 HIDS and running all 4 lights at once.
Interior:
I am stripping it and i will be fixing the cracks in the dash as well as center console, the seats are going to get reupholstered, Aftermarket Gauges, Yearone Door Panels and all the interior panels and trim are getting redone. The sail panels are getting replaced completely.
Engine Bay:
With the 400 motor and trans going to be rebuilt i am going to tidy it up. I plan on fabricating an engine bay cover to hide all the accesories (radiator, A/C etc....) The Engine bay will also be getting a repaint.

Currently i have the old 350 motor and trans out and sold, gas tank got scrapped and the exhaust i cut in half. The interior is now fully out, and i have started working on the dash.

Shades of red im considering

Im making a custom radio mount/faceplate, also waiting for the padded dash filler to get here so i can finish fixing the cracks. These are the gauges im going to go with. http://www.ebay.com/itm/70-81-Firebi...item519cf94e0f

One of the Texas guys painted his 77 the color the late 80s GTAs I think "Flame Red" kind fo cinnamon looking. I think Dave Holmberg has it now.

Almost have the radio done and i started repairing the cracks, just need to finish sanding down the dash filler and probably one or two more coats around the radio to even it up.

Radio Mount

Still opens and closes nicely

Put 3M Structural Adhesive over it for a better bond

And Repaired the holes in the Steering column cover

Yep. I know an '88 GTA looked nice in that as an original color also. the guy that owns my stirage shop had a 70 Camaro in it also.

John Hodges car then now David Holmbberg's.

Wow its been awhile since ive updated but ive done a bit more. Right now im trying to get the floor and roof painted before winter hits. I still have some trimming to do but interior is taking priority right now. Im relocating the wiper motor and getting rid of A/C

I just put down seam sealer today so im hoping to paint it sometime this week weather depending.

In your first post..what rims are those?I'm trying to decide between 17 inch silver snowflakes with black insets or a similiar wheel like your picture..Boss 338's 17 inch with black spokes. These are going on a black 80 Trans Am with shaved door handles and twin turbo hood.
