Default Absolutely one of a kind 63 V326 car for sale

Guys, it's time for me to part with this car. I've held it for almost a year now as the original owner's son wanted it back but time is up. I've put quite a few thousand in since owning it doing everything from a complete motor rebuild which was $4k if I remember correctly, a custom aluminum radiator with $300 electric fan, new carb, exhaust, battery, axle bearings, clutch, flywheel surfaced, 3.08 posi rear, and on and on and on.

The paint is completely original and it has some dings but that is what gives this car character. I have every piece of documentation from the original bill of sale, payment book, registration and front plate plus many, many timeslips!!! The interior is all original and the seats are still soft. You would not believe it even while standing in front of it.

Still needs a gas tank as I've not been able to locate one.

http://forums.maxperformanceinc.com/...=488621&page=7 is my original post with pictures. The black one!

This is what it looks like now:

$15k is the asking price. You will not find one with this story or documentation. I am the second owner. The original owner left it to his son when passing and he did not want it.

I have the original air cleaner, radiator, fan, carb and whatever else was changed. The car did not have wipers when I bought it. This was a sleeper race car from the day it was bought. There was a wood carb spacer and a coiled aluminum gas line complete with plastic surround to ice the fuel supply. The exhaust still has the screw off caps they used back in the day to run open exhaust.

Thank you. I advertised it here solely thinking it should go to someone who would really appreciate it but have only had one response. That's a poor showing from the most ardent group of Pontiac fans but no one will ever say I didn't try when it appears at auction. Since I have no need to sell it, a few months here is no big deal and I appreciate you giving it a bump.

Road manners are what you would expect in this car- great going straight at reasonable speeds. I have driven many, many different old cars and have a number of them. It's not as heavy as an olds 442 and doesn't track like a mustang. That said, it's so much fun to drive because it was built to be driven hard and it never complains. Engines today are so much more efficient and powerful than the 326, yet you cannot wipe the smile off my face every time I mat it and row through the gears. It's simply unparalleled.

Most people have never seen one and wonder what it is. Most mistake it for a 64. Only the real old-timers know. It's an absolute time capsule that I hope someone loves the way I do.

After reminiscing, I will be driving it today!

Nice! I hope I find an extra 15k around here somewhere before this one slips away!

Default Did this car ever sell?

Just wondering if this car ever sold through this website or was sold at auction? Haven't seen any post for this recently.

Default Still got it!

It's still enjoying the simple life in my garage under a fancy cover... As stated, I'm in no rush and want it to go to the right home. Would you like to see it?

Great news! The 63 has gone to one of our fellow members and has found the home I wanted for it. It was imperative it found a home with a genuine Pontiac enthusiast and it did! Thank you all for the interest.
