68 dual gate in 69 console????

We found a good complete dual gate form a 68 GTO and installed in our 69 GTO auto console. At first we didnt have park or first, adjusted the cable at the transmission and got park thru second but no first?

I know someone on here has had this issue or knows what needs to be done, any advice willbe welcome and appreciated. thanks
