On my 69 GTO I have a Rochester 17054905 3077. Can the experts tell me if it's the right carb. for this car? The car has it's original 400/400 drive train.

I have the exact same carb on my 68 GTO. From what I've read, this was a service replacement.

Apparently my carb was built 10 days before yours.

its a service carb built the 30th day of 77

i have one NOS..and if you study it, it looks identicle to a 69 Ram air III 4 speed carb...has the slotted secondary flappers and no big vac tube on the front just like a real 4 speed carb..and since it ends in an odd number its a real 4 speed carb...its a service piece so it works for just about any 69 V8 4bbl motor,,they made a run of service carbs in 73 and then in 77

they changed the date code system and the carb number system in about 75..hence the extra number and starting with the number 1

its not the right carb for your car... but is a correct service piece and is an acceptable replacement...
