Default 1964 Tempest Custom Sport Coupe

For sale is my 1964 Tempest Custom Sport Coupe. It is a true survivor car with only 48,300 miles. I recently purchased the car from the second owner, who purchased it from a friend of his family in the 1980's. The car retains the original 6 cylinder engine, and two speed transmission. The car is extremely complete and original.

Mechanically, the car is in excellent condition. It runs, starts, and drives without issue, but needs shocks. The interior is also all original. There is a tear in the front bench seat upholstery, and one small tear in the headliner. The body is solid, but there is some surface rust forming around the pontiac emblems, and along the passenger door. There is some rust through under the drivers door, in one small limited area of the floor board, and a there is small hole in the rear wheel well. There is some rust around the rear windshield trim that the previous owner sealed with silicone. Best I can tell, there is a small patch panel in the trunk, and another small patch panel in the drivers side rear wheel well. There was one repaint in the 1970's. There are some drips and sags evident, and in some areas the paint is very thin. It is amateur quality.

I planned on keeping the car, but spring fever hit and I wound up purchasing a convertible that is for sale on the board. Jim from Vintage Transport will be delivering my new car next week. If anyone is interested, Jim may be able to drop off my convertible, and deliver my '64. This will save the buyer the cost of unloaded miles.

If you have any questions, please e-mail or feel free to call me at 516-314-9462. I would be glad to provide additional photos and information. I am asking $ 7,000 for the car, which is what I paid a couple of months ago.
