Default 72 firebird AC delete

all the original AC parts a missing from the firewall out. would like to put a vintage AC system in the car to help make some room. Do I just purchase the $130 ac delete cover plate that still allows the heater to work and put in a standard heater core and move on to the vintage air? is it that simple??
Thanks for any info

The vintage air systems can come both ways with or with out heat in the unit. If you remove everything you can then get a unit that has both heat & cool in it & save a lot of extra room & weight. The complete unit is a little more expensive but it makes it a lot more compact to work on later & you don't have to remove a fender to change a blower motor then either.

You could do a delete plate to cover the opening, that way if you ever wanted to go to original you easily could ???

my bad, I should have said "I will go to the complete vintage air and was wondering how I should prep the firewall."
