Default Squeaky sway bar

I have a big Addco front bar on my 66 and it squeaks where the brackets hold it to the frame. Should I have used some kind of lube between the bar and the frame bracket bushings?

Back in the high school days when I worked a lube rack Saturdays and Sundays at the Humble Oil (now Exxon) gas station down the street from my house we always squirted a little Ru-Glyde on rubber to metal joints like this. They still make it.

I've used axle grease to quiet mine, mainly 'cuz I had a tub of it laying around.

On second thought this bar is probably defective and you should send it to me for testing!
