New Eibach Spring Help
hey i just got new eibach coil springs for my 1975 firebird formula 400 with a 400 big block in it and it is suppose to lower the front end of the car about an inch to an inch and a half but the new coil springs are 4.25 inch's shorter then the stock ones. is that a big problem or is that normal and it will work fine in my car?? the eibach part number is pro kit 3852.120

It's normal, the stiffer spring rate requires that the free length be considerably shorter than the stock springs.
Install them and enjoy the better handling and lower ride height. |

Spring direction - confusion
Does anyone have a answer to this question? We pulled the stock springs off some time ago and have installed eibach springs letter side up per manufacturer, but the originals had the flat end of spring nested in the upper control arm.
We also have read several posts that would lead us to believe the flat goes on the bottom or lower control arm - and we have viewed a couple videos that appeared to show the flatter end or closer coil end going into the top control arm? |
