If I mix 10 gallons of 93 octane unleaded fuel with 10 gallons of 110 octane leaded race fuel, what would the octane rating be? I'm no math or gasoline wizard. Just wondering if any one knows. Any help appreciated. Thank You.

Best I can figure is 110 + 93 = 203 split it in half = 101 1/2 I could be wrong.

could be hard to say what the final rating would be.
Curious info stated in the bottom article about mixing unleaded with leaded.

very good math & very close
on 20 gallons mix half & half
lower octane of 93 will need to be around 10.6 gallons
higher octane of 110 will need to be 9.4 gallons
to arrive to 101 octane ,but i use it on the liberal side to add lil more higher octane

Thank You to everyone for their replies. A lot of good info here. Just for the record the car involved here is a 65 GTO, so, no pollution solution devices to worry about being messed up with leaded fuel. Again, thanks to all.
