Radio Commonality

Does anyone know if radios for Lemans and Grand Prix were the same for any given year?

I'm looking for a radio for my 1971 Lemans and have come across Grand Prix radios. I have a reconditioned 1970 Firbird AM/FM red dot in good condition, but it does not fit the dash properly depth wise. Will trade. Bay Village OH, 440-724-5070.
