Where to buy this
anyone know the correct name for this type of fastener and where to get it?
thanks, david the barrel is about 3/4" long, 3/16 o.d. diameter and internally threaded for the screw to go into it. |

It looks like a threaded rivet...we use them on our tack for the horse, but should be available at most well stocked hardware stores.

Yep, that's a sex bolt.
You should be able to get them at the hardware store, grainger (as linked to above), McMaster Carr (as linked below), or a variety of other places. http://www.mcmaster.com/#sex-bolts/=jw1x10
