Hi guys,
As some of you know, the '63 Tempest that I bought this past summer was a disassembled body with just enough suspension on it to allow it to roll. The rest of the pieces of car are in about a dozen boxes of parts, along with extra doors, fenders, engines, etc. In what will likely be the first of many "what is this thing?" threads, attached is a picture of a piece that was included in one of those boxes and which I cannot identify. What is this thing and where is it supposed to go? |

Not sure but it looks like the cover for the rear seat window mechanism. Here is a similar part on a 70 Lemans convertible.

I also think it could be a cover for the inner door or body pannel. It may be time to call PY and order a shop manual and a body manual. The originals and new copies of the originals have some very good exploded views of parts like that.

Thanks for the responses guys. I guess that would explain why there were two of them in the box!
The boxes contain a number of duplicate parts from a parts donor car, so here I was thinking the second one was from a second car. |
