Default Trans brake & timing retard?

For those of you that set up some sort of timing retard for launch control, do you have it wired into your trans brake? If so how does the engine react coming up on the brake with the timing pulled out?

I use the Grid system which is triggered by applying and then taking away 12V to the trigger wire. Timing comes out when I let go of the Tbrake button to whatever amount set and then ramps back in by time or mapped per gear - however it's set. Timing is not pulled when on the brake.

I can reduce timing while on the brake. It's at 20 total on the two step and comes up fine. No issues or lazyness. Full timing as soon as the brake releases..

If I'm pulling a lot of timing I'll bring up rpms prior to hitting brake button. I did have it flame out at idle once...embarrassing..

I dont run much timing to begin with so pulling timing out there wont be much left, around 12 to 15 degrees. I guess i'll find out in the spring if its to lazy to get up on the converter like it should.
