I just got my built '60 389 (406) home and I could not be any happier. It was a long time project (over 2.5 years) but that was at my request. The build on my car has taken that long and is still in progress. I did not see any reason to hurry the build only to set on the engine stand in the corner. Paul was also great with this and knew he was never in any hurry nor did it bother him. He was great with communications, always consulting me at every concern or problem that cropped up. He also went above and beyond by adding some special work and special procedures that I was never charged for. Tings I wanted but felt I could not afford because of the added expense. I have over $600 worth of work and sevices that he did over that time that he did not charge me for. He felt they were almost necessary for the level of the build and he did not want the engine to fail at some time because of the lack of these things. I was stunned when he told me he did them for me, for free.
He spend many hours on the phone with reps for many of my parts, asking for clearification of torque specs versus rod bolt torque lengths, I layed out my desired cam specs and he talked to and helped design exactly what I needed, with a very acclaimed cam designer. To put it bluntly. I could not have asked for a better shop or engine builder to build my motor. He even sought me out after reading the thread on my car build and stated what I was building and what I wanted out of the engine. Paul came to me and asked if I would let him build it. I would recommend him and Koerner to anyone in the AZ area, or outside if shipping is not a problem. A Very Happy Mark L
