Default Summit racing??

I live about two hours from the Atlanta warehouse - UPS gets me a shipment the next day. Summit always puts in the item thread "Ships today" - but I've have a couple of times in the last few months where they ship it the following day - I am talking about an order placed well before shipping deadline for that day.

Anyone else have that problem lately? Heck - it is going to take two days might as well get it from Jegs.

NO...I have had excellent service..IMO. I have ordered on a Friday and get the stuff Saturday !!! Both from Summit & Jeg's...out of Ohio. I live in Virginia. There have been isolated instances when I may get it on a Monday....but very few times...
It may depend on carrier...not shipper.
Just saying..

Lou,
FWIW: I stopped using Summit sereral years ago when they wouldn't stand behind some of their "summit" brand 90* swivel AN fittings that everyone leaked.
Been 100% Jegs ever since.

Default Summit Racing

I just placed an order with Summit yesterday for an ARP oil pump shaft for a 289. 18 bucks, 5 bucks handling, 39 bucks to ship it. In stock shipped yesterday 8-10 days Fedup delivery. (priceless) I told them to keep it. Same shaft delivered monday here 52 bucks. Ed

I'm about 3 hrs from Atlanta. My theory is the UPS trailers depart the Summit warehouse at different times. If I order before 5:30 pm, my package leaves on the Columbia SC trailer and I get it the next day. If I order after 5:30, the package goes on the Anderson SC trailer and it takes 2 days. I'll bet if you track your packages you'll see a similar pattern.

Is it coming from the McDonough warehouse? Sometimes when I order stuff it comes from the Ohio or even Vegas warehouse and takes longer.

well it is busy time of year. For the parts suppliers. Everyone thrashing to get ready for race season, Have seen the same thing with jegs and some of the others. Just be glad you not getting things back ordered. have had it happen twice in last few weeks. Luckily only few days late.

I've noticed that parts sometimes don't appear to ship the same day but miraculously show up on my doorstep the following day. I think their order status or the shipping company status lags sometimes.

I had a problem in March with terribly slow shipping. I had become accustomed to receiving my order from Sparks, NV the following day if I placed the order early enough. Then something changed and the orders were dragging out three to four days. I had a split order coming from Nevada and Ohio, and the Sparks, NV arrived two days after the one coming from across the country. Then a couple of weeks ago, things went back to normal.
