Default 64 GTO Convertable Tripower, 4-speed PHS documented car

’64 GTO Convertible remains For Sale… PHS documented tri-power, 4-speed, 3.23 posi, dash tach, console, power top, power steering car.

I lost my main shop, with this ’64 and my ’68 GTO hardtop inside, a few weeks back to fire. Had to move the cars to clean up the mess, and nearly took them straight to the crusher, but thought better…

Car was a nicely restored northwestern car with no rust. As you can see, the fire was devastating, but maybe you could use the frame and other parts to build a new one.
What you are getting is the complete car as it is now, without the motor that is in it (the block in the car is the numbers matching block to a 64 GTO hardtop I have), but I have the numbers matching correct date coded and stamped 76XW block and crank that go with the car (I found it after the car was done), and the clear title to the car.

What is it worth? $5,000?? or will take offers. I would like to see it gone by mid-June. Car is in Southwestern Montana, about 25 miles from Butte. I am in Alaska, so please note the time zone and time difference before you call! Best to reach me at 907-317-2969 or [email protected]. Thanks, Mike

That should buff out.

Just kidding, very sorry for you loss.

I question if the heat would have warped the sheetmetal or frame?
I hope you do well on your sale.

The sheetmetal is definately warped and damaged beyond repairing, it would need replacement. I don't believe the frame is warped at all.

I just hate to rid the planet of this car - hopefully someone will have the desire to use it for a platform, as I don't know how many documented tripower, 4 speed convertibles there still are out there...

It's worth whatever you can get for it. Good luck with that.

Thanks for all the supportive comments. Insurance coverage is never enough to cover everything, as any who has ever dealt with a major loss knows.

I have had some interest in the car, so hopefully someone can use it as the start of a new project, even if some out there can't see any value...
