Default JMRE builds a 455HO Street/Strip Combo ...

... we just recently completed a 461c.i. 455HO engine for a customer, and we thought it was a pretty nice build, the same engine before made about 440hp according to the customer, and we freshened the engine along with some porting and looks like the 461 has picked up some power, this combo is going in a true street car 65' GTO ...

... the engine is still on the dyno, as we will be testing 2 more sets of headers and a Demon carb, but we are waiting on some small parts to finish the testing ...

830 Holley
Hyd. Roller (.562/.571)(248/254)(110 l/s)
Torker II
Doug's 1-7/8 Headers (with evac)
9 to 1 compression

VERY GOOD MATCH ON THE COMBINATION OF PARTS.

VERY HIGH END OF THE TYPICAL ASSUMED HP VS PORT FLOW/ENGINE PARTS MATCH

Good job.

Nice numbers. I run a 9-1 TRW 455 HO engine. 10.96 @119mph in a 3500lb car.
Numbers should be close. Never dynoed it. Any guesses ?

Wow, your numbers are kick azz. I'm hoping to get well into the 11's. Prior to Bill's work on my top end I ran 12.0's at last year. I was small on the carb, running a thirty year old 800 spread bore. My 1/8th mile ET's were in the 7.5's which should have got me at least 11.90's in the quarter. If all goes well I'll be on the local track [I-40] the end of this week. Other wise I'll be at the POCI /GTOAA co-vention.

... yeah, i'm anxious to see if my former Nascar SB2 headers are worth a poo, lol ... i'm hoping they work well, we're just waiting for the O2 sensor plugs, as these headers were built for 10 wide band sensors on BLP's acceleration dyno, and JMRE's only has 2 sensors, but they'll be here soon i'm sure ...
