Default The 572 Straight Valve Killah !!! :)

... ok guys, the title was more for Kinsler than anything (lol) as that's what he likes to call this thing, maybe I added the straight valve part, lol, but anyways, I wont get into all my bs life drama crap, that has obviously got me behind the 8 ball with this build as most are aware, but many have been asking for info or updates on the 572 CV-1 engine we are building for my 71' Camaro ...

... I wont throw up too much in the first post post, i'll just try to answer any questions that may come up in the thread, and just try to let the pic's show where we are at right now ...

... short-block is going together, stuck in the clearance phase right now, had a few areas that made contact, so out came the die grinder, almost done with that part, the rods are clipping in some areas, but once that's done we'll check for thrust end play, piston to deck, cam phase etc. ...

... there is quite a bit of work yet in the topend of the engine, but the focus right now is the short-block, then we can finish up the seats, guides, valvejob, hand work as all the CNC work is complete, volume test chambers, piston to valve, etc. so the work then can begin on the custom manifold for this build, which looks to be a lot of fun ...

... i'll just throw up some random pic's of what she's looking like right now ...

it's a spread-billet dominator that I sell, and yes, it does help center things up for a spread port layout ...

Very Very Nice Parts there Bill.

So how did you determine the Spread Bore Mount Position vs the intake?
Do some Mondello wet flow testing?

Dang! Cool pieces. Where are you trying to make peak torque and peak HP? Those are some big manifold runner entrances. Best of luck in all your endeavors. Hope to see you at Norwalk.

... well, it is in the line up, lol, but its very pricey, as it's a full billet carb except the bowls, so I don't sell many of them ...

Nice crank. I see you went with the OMNICRON Finish. Pretty nice looking stuff there.
