Default Iola Wisconsin Swap Meet 2013

Anyone hitting Iola this week?

I am gonna try either Thursday or Friday. Hopefully, there will be some parts there before the weekend.

Suppose to be nice..80's. Wouldn't miss it....usually take a wad of cash but most times I only buy a bag of electrical ends and a few burgers

I'll be cruising around with my car...for sale..10 sec ..20mpg driver.

455-Yeah, I hear ya dude. I go every year with a wade of cash hoping to score some treasures and end up disappointed. I guess that's the power of the internet. Still a good time. Hopefully they'll be some catalog vendors there with some new parts I can pick up that I need. Have a good time.

The PYPES folks will be there. I called and ordered up an exhaust system for my project and got show special pricing and no shipping costs -Dan

Default Pypes

That's one of the things I want to get also. Pypes was at Jefferson this spring, but I wasn't ready to buy. I saw on their website they are going to be at Iola. Do you have to order ahead or will they have enough along with them? What was the phone # you called?

Thanks,

John

2 fried egg sandwiches in the am, a burger and chocolate shake later on !
its always something different, i turn off my cell so the kids ( and wife) dont bug me and i just walk the swap...sometimes 2x...last year an aluminum radiator vendor was there that was a nice change. I always laugh at some of the swap spaces, same guys, same stuff...year after year.

I ordered it ahead of time. Call Mike @ 800-421-3890 ex. 243. I am not sure what they bring to the show for retail sale. - Dan

Default Pypes

Thanks, I got a hold of Mike at Pypes, he was just loading up and getting ready to travel to Iola. He will be at BJ 32-36, just inside Gate #1. Easy to find. I put in an order for a system. Enjoy the day.

We are going on Thursday to walk all day. My GTO is done so I don't need anything in particular, but usually end up with at least a couple barn lanterns... Never enough Pontiac parts there but I have scored some in past years. I may take the car there on Saturday and park on the grass at their car show. Met a lot of people last year. If you see a red 68 with red interior and black vinyl top, that's me.......

Yes, no sign up required, just pay when you drive in. Not many cars there on Thursday so no problem getting a good spot on the hill, close to food & restrooms.

Yuuuuuup!

Due to a loss in the family, I won't get there until about 8 am on Friday. Leaving Saturday night.

I will be at AI58-59

Look for GTO/Lemans, Cutlass, and Skylark parts in the booth.

Stop by and say hi.

Layne

Default Iola

Had a good day yesterday at Iola. Weather was great, not too crowded. Picked up my Pypes system from Mike at the trailer, nice guy. Also got some oval SS tips for my truck from him. Otherwise not too many parts. Met Layne, aka 67 black goat, at his space just as he was arriving. Actually took some time to walk through the show cars. Nice stuff, nice representation of Pontiacs there. Saw a really nice blue '67 GTO there, don't know who owned it. Car corral didn't have much to get excited about.

Now I'm tired, time to relax....

I picked up my system from Mike at the Pypes trailer too. He gave me a "show special price" as promised. That was my goal. I didn't spend much time hawking parts. The car corral is still my favorite part of any swap meet. It is fun to see what is out there.
