I just bought for my 67 firebird 400 coupe,automatic,no air the inner and outer tie rods,the center drag link,and idler arm. I've researched it and all the parts I bought are different from what was on there,the center drag link is thicker and no joint to attach to the pitman arm like the one i have,the tie rods are straighter without a bend in them, and the idler arm is not straight like what was on it but a sight bend. The adjustment sleeves are at least 2 inches longer also. I've cross referenced to a Camaro and some parts are the same numbers. Do I use the new parts as maybe they are redesigned????

sounds like the wrong parts. recheck part numbers with some other parts house. the ones on my 66 goat are flat. the ones I have for a 73 bird are bent, how do you plan on attaching the pitman arm and the center link together if different?

UPDATE for those that might go thru this, I found that the steering linkage,idler arm, and pitman arm were for the ventura,apollo model. After reseacrhing it and getting some input from some of you Pontiac guys the original replacement parts made for the bird will bolt right up. All the new pieces are installed and I just need to get the subframe on the car-rest the engine on the mounts to set the load and tighten all the pieces and align the tires. Thanks again for the help.
