I'm thinking Jeff has 1000 reasons he should worry about other things instead of getting embarrassed by a BIG tire race car! LOL!

I heard the weather forecast for Norwalk is 90+ degrees and a strong head wind, sounds like 7's are going to be few and far between.

George, I don't know where you got your forecast, but Accuweather has Norwalk at 74 degrees and sunny for that Saturday! If that holds true ...

The only thing I worry about going sevens at norwalk is the track prep not being able to hold the radial tire..

Jeff knows IF that tire hooks it's worth a tenth. He can make it hook. All he has to do is turn the wick up on that 500 horse smasher kit and let it eat.

Jeff,
Well I wish you the best of luck, because you will need it. I think Jack has the better chance at a 7 and I don't think he'll be able to do it.........me, I'm not even going to try. Ill run a little quicker then last year but I'm going to Norwalk to win some races not to just toss a "Hail Mary" pass up ONCE, there is no money in that (well maybe for you)!

I think that's where you are wrong George.. I don't see it as a " hail Mary". I think you could run consistent 7's without issue by turning it up a little...

Yes I have to agree with you (and its killing me to do that) but when I do run MY "seven" it won't be a "Hail Mary" like some people. Who knows, but not planning on it.

Radials To The Front. I got many jets left to use in the "SMASHER".

I race every month and test in between then with the same tune up. thats not hail mary passses to me and the jets that are in the plate are not that big.

Jeff, Kurt Johnson won't prep this track with the special sauce for radials, especially since 99% of the cars will be on slicks...wait till Shakedown in October and the track will be set on kill and I'm sure Jason from VP will bring the good sauce for that event. I have a race out there this Saturday so I will post how the track seems to be hooking. FWIW...if you are coming out I would bring a set of slicks if you have a spare set.

Jeff,
So why don't you slap a BIG BOY pair of slicks on and let the BIG DOG EAT? Seriously who's going to care and that way we won't have to lister to you "whine" on the Monday after the race.

In Jeff defense of just slapping a pair of slicks on it..... he has a car set up for the type of competitive racing he does on the regular. Putting slick on the car would involve suspention changes as well and risk losing the setup that has him running strong in his regular program. Its not just that simple George.. as bad as you resist change on your car, I would think you of all people would understand that..
