Default Window crank, spring and window crank washer installation

I'm installing the window crank springs that were not on my 66 Lemans when I bought it. Could someone tell me the proper installation of these parts. I'm afraid if I try to install incorrectly I'll never get it back apart. Thanks.

I just had my door panel off the GT-37 this week. The large end of the spring goes against the steel of the door. Small end toward the window crank and is put on the regulator before the door panel is installed. Next is the plastic washer and the large surface of the washer will touch the window crank and the offset center will touch the clip area of the window crank. Then install the window crank. Make to position the cranks so that they are angled back with the glass in the full position to keep the weigh of the crank handle from allowing the window to go down slightly after hitting bumps. Having the crank handle on an rearward angle will always tend to keep the glass tight on the weatherstrip.

Thanks, what about the washer? Does the offset go towards the door or towards the interior?

if you hold the crank and washer together it only goes one way. cup is made to "cup" the crank end to access the clip
