That may have saved the front bumper from some cracking and what not. Congratulations on the purchase. Hard to go wrong on any second gen let alone a brewster for the deal it sounds like you got. Enjoy, and yes more pics!

Ah... I remember that one. As I recall, it was a matching drivetrain car. You did well.
Glad to hear it will be restored.

Looks like you scored on that one! Good luck with the resto. It's always great having more Brewster Green eye candy.

I hope I don't draw fire for this, but I owned a Brewster in 79-80, std. 455, 4spd, saddle std. int. I LOVED that car, traded a really nice Brentwood Brown 77 4spd T/A for it. Brewster Green 73s have always been my favorite. This car, at 7 years old, was so rusted from the doors back (the doghouse was perfect), especially where the front of the leaf springs attached, I was afraid I would grab 2nd and yank one of them out (or both).
Now for the bad part, and remember this was 1980 and I was 22, . . . . I parted it out. I bought a 74 T/A with a blown engine, put the 455 in it and drove it for a while, sold the rest to a friend who had a 74 Esprit. He put the doghouse on his car, and some other parts. He intended to put the 4spd parts in it but never did. Of the many Pontiacs I have owned, this is one of my true regrets, even then I knew they were rare. Didn't mean to hijack your thread, congrats on your find. In fact, it reminded me so much of my car (except mine looked this way in 1980), that I had to post. Dave
