Default Victor EFI intakes.

So,recently I heard thru the PY grapevine that the Victor EFI intakes are back on clearance @ the Edelbrock websight (4500 flange),and it's just too good a deal to pass up for the 2nd or 3rd time they've done this (under $200.00 shipped),so I broke down and ordered one before the deal goes bye-bye again.

So IIRC it was Tom V. that had some injector block offs made...
So I guess I'm wondering if anymore of those are still for sale???

That -or- I'm curious to see how others have dealt with that situation.

I know I could easily plug them with pipe plugs, but that's a one shot deal,no going back to EFI that way,and I'd kinda like to leave my options open if I can.

Could also do a simple b/o plate or such too.

Thoughts,ideas,advice?

Thanks

Bret P.

I can't speak to the block off, but shipping to my address was $28 ground. You'll have $200 in the intake to your door.

Wish I knew that earlier,,,almost certainly too late for my order...

NBD to me though, still a killer deal vs. paying full retail for a Victor intake.

FYI......The EFI block offs Mr. Vaught makes are top notch. I'm very happy with the set I received from him. The motor has been run with no leaks what so ever.

I tried the catalog2013 code at the prompt and got no discount on the shipping. Anyone had better results?
The flip side is you get a great quality box from Edelbrock that the intake comes in.

I don't find their site easy to order from without someone posting the link to the order page. Also, I believe they have fuel rails available for the intakes. I'm familiar with placed like Arizona Speed and Marine selling lengths of fuel rail. What have others here done for rail and assorted?

Found the thread.

http://forums.maxperformanceinc.com/...d.php?t=678274

FYI it's Amazon Skip,I'm fine with buying thru them.

Only problem is the price went up again.

Guess I'll have to keep an eye on Amazon and see if the price drops on these again.

Unless someone wants to part with a set of those $18.23 rails,LOL.

I just tried the free shipping code and it worked. The ground shipping price went from $28 to $0. Give it a shot. Copy and paste it in..

I purchased one of these. I didn't "need" it, but couldn't pass up on the deal. So, I've been thinking about the idea of trying to use a LS1 ECM and tune with EFI Live. Just curious if anyone has given this a shot? I know there are a lot of Sensors (knock, cam) in that system, but I wonder how many can be eliminated. I have a 99' Trans am with a Pro Charger making 435 at the wheels. It was tuned with EFI Live.
What is your thoughts?

The basic sensors needed for EFT would be Coolant temp, Inlet air temp, or manifold air temp( depending on which sensor used) open or closed element. throttle position, Wide band o2 sensor. Have you taken a look at MegaSquirt?
