I sure enjoyed her stuff in the '70s. She had a beautiful gift, and I'd say she had a blessed life to this point.

As a kid in the mid 70's I didn't appreciate her voice (too busy listening to Sabbath and Zepp) but she sure could belt'em out!

One of the great voices in my opinion.
In her day she was about as hot as a firecracker too!
Another feather in her cap is the fact that Glenn Frey and Don Henley met in her band.

One of the greatest female voices ever. Very sad to hear this. She's had a very interesting life, and I hope that Hollywood does a movie about her while she's still around to appreciate it. For the past several years, I've said that if they ever did a movie about Linda Ronstadt, Zooey Daschenel could portray her. Although Zooey can sing, they'd still have to dub in some genuine Linda Ronstadt vocals now and then, because no one could sing like Linda.

I saw her in concert at the Omni in Atlanta back in the late 70s or early 80s. I have always liked her music. This is sad news.

She was gifted, no doubt.
I think she has to be the most successful cover artist ever.

Thumbs up

Certainly concur on the voice, but a 1%er on looks, too. In her youth she was flat-out beautiful.

I always thought she had the most awesum voice and went to a couple of her concerts when she came to Cleveland. Am sorry to hear this news but we still have our records and the videos to enjoy her music. Jim

Sad news indeed. My favorite is this one, her first hit. Written by the Monkees Mike Nesmith.

What has she done in recent years? Anyone know? I thought she gave up singing a long time ago.
