71 455HO Air Cleaner Sticker
I have the original air cleaner for my 455 H.O. engine. I am currently running a Ram Air setup but I am considering have the air cleaner restored and selling the Ram Air setup.
There is a sticker on the air cleaner that has the number PB6486810 printed vertically. The repo decals at PY list a number RC 6486681. My sticker appears to have 1/4 inch of glue residue on each side which could have been from a slightly larger decal. Can anyone shed some light on whether this is the original sticker or was it replaced at some point? 2nd question, were the 455HO stickers on the top of the air cleaner original?

Your PB 6486810 is correct for the '71 455 HO GTO w/o RA. The decal is a vinyl/paper and shrinks over time leaving the glue residue. I don't think the non-RA units received the lid decal.
The RC 6486681 should be the std 400/455 4 bbl air cleaners decal. Last edited by Held for Ransom; 09-22-2013 at 09:21 PM. |
