Did the 326 use a flywheel or flexplate?
The 326 in my 63 coupe with Powerglide has a stamped steel flexplate on the end of the crank shown in the picture on the left.
A few months ago I scored a second 326 off a guy who was leaving town, but there was nothing on the end of the crank. So I bought another one, sight unseen, and the picture on the right arrived -- a machined steel flywheel with no holes drilled for a clutch. Bolts right up to the crank, center hole for ropeshaft mount fits perfect. Starter aligns perfect too.
Did these motors come with both for some reason, or is one just not original?
