I am using one on my 68 and it seems to work fine. Only trouble is the RH blinker indicator will not work. The relay clicks and everything seems to work fine otherwise. I know on a few I had to get repop bulb holders and my guess is these don't usually work worth a damn, but I'm not sure how to tell them apart from the originals I have mixed in.
I have replaced it with a brand new bulb so I know that isn't the issue. Not sure what I'm looking for, other than if anybody else has tried a new circuit board with similar results.

I put one in my 68 also. When I put the gauges in the car the turn signals indicator didn't work. Turned out the bulb holders were corroded. They were new bulb holders but the unit sat in the basement for 2 years waiting on the restoration. Cleaned them and they worked like a charm.

Gaugepod circuit Quality appears to be excellent to me.
MAJOR PROBLEM for lamps is the repop twist sockets do not grab the bulb wires when bulb is fully seated. What a PAIN in the back to be fiddling with them sockets. Use old GM gaugepod twist sockets with brite copper inserts. HIS |

Ahh, so that is probably it. I am pretty sure the one I am trying to put in has the metal ribbons rather than the wire so it must be new. Going to have to get a few originals from somewhere.
It is not fun, I think I am going to tape some small pillows to my clutch/brake pedals for next time.
