Default stripes or no stripes?

I know this car did not come like this factory but it did come in this color. I am on the fence of getting rid of these stripes or keeping them. The front dont look too bad but the back ones remind me so much of the camaros. What do you guys think?

The hood stripe is a "Royal treatment" and you are right, the rear looks like a Camaro.

I would remove the rear strips, add a rear spoiler (not the T/A spoiler) and paint the rear area of the spoiler and the taillight panel white.

To a Chevy guy the back probably screams Camaro-wanna-be. At least you can repaint the lid and stay between the seams below the glass. That keeps you from having to shoot the whole back half.

Like the hood but agree on ditching the rear stripes. Maybe some tail feathers w/out spoiler would be unique.

I'd like to see how one wide stripe instead of two looked and maybe a white tail panel and a spoiler like mentioned before

I would go solid color. Did Firebirds ever have stripes besides the TA and the Sprint?

Not a fan of any racing stripes or other stripes unless the car is a complete custom ride or came from the factory with them.

I like the hood treatment, think about doing the Royal deck lid treatment too.

I know the subject appears to be Firebirds, but here's our custom, non numbers matching, 70 GTO with applied sport stripe that was done a couple of weeks ago. It is not a decal, as we did not find a decal color combination we liked. I like the way it accents the fender lines.

One might be able to do something similar with Firebirds.

This is exactly what I did with mine. Sport stripe painted on with different colors.

Maybe a Sprint stripe with different call out inside it?

I like the hood yet I would loose the trunk and filler panel stripes.... The rear looks too Chevy for me... Good looking car either way, Mike

I would take off all the stripes (looks like 70s) the front looks like it has a mask on. never liked strips on a Pontiac, Camaro yes. have it your way, it's your car.

Loose all the stripes. Looks cleaner that way.

I always thought racing stripes make the car go faster , if you remove them it may not go as fast . LOL
