A few years ago I bought what I thought was a non-running but complete 67 GTO. The start of restoration is coming up and several weeks ago I ordered the PHS, and read: Cruise Control! This option was a BIG surprise as on this car every visible piece of the system under the hood and the cruise lever itself on the column has been removed by some previous owner. Zazarines Guide says 67 and 68 systems were identical as to part numbers. The '69 up systems look much the same but part numbers are different, does anyone know if these pieces will mount-up the same as 67-68 with the only difference being the part numbers? Also, anyone know if CC systems from the big body cars are a the same components and a direct fit to our Goats? I sure need help on this one.....HELP!

All the ones I have or seen, the the bracket that mounts over the valve cover that holds the black rubber bellow on 67's is a 2 piece design, the 68 & 69's have a one piece bracket. Otherwise the components are the same through the years. All the pieces are the same, except for the bracket that holds the servo to the wheel well, full size cars have a flat small bracket, and 67-69 A-body & 69-70 G-body uses a taller pedestal bracket. The carb linkage bracket is also different on a fullsize, uses a rod instead of a cable and the speedo cables are longer. The a-body and g-body setups are identical.

Hi Mike. Thanks for the information, you really covered the essential differences well. Zazarine's Restoration Guide doesn't address the brackets or cables. Since my car is missing everything my first hope is someone will have complete system take-off they would sell, if not I'll sure go for piecing it together. Please guys, PM me with whatever you have - I sure appreciate your help on this one!
