With all the talk about Lil Jack and Mike, et al, all winter, I haven't seen any updates on your engine. Is it a stealth effort for Norwalk this year? What's happening??? Or did I miss a post somewhere?
As the saying goes, inquiring minds want to know. ![]() Jim

Jim,
Stealth...........that's FUNNY, I like that.......yea, STEALTH. ![]() No STEALTH.........my plan is to come out of the GATE running 7.90's or QUICKER in 80 degree weather and go from there. Making ONE small change to the engine, that's all! I don't talk about it because it's not a big deal. I have a pretty GOOD set up already, you know what they say......if it ain't BROKE don't FIX it! ![]() GTO George Last edited by GTOGEORGE; 04-21-2014 at 11:15 AM. |

Now that you got your crank fixed, (the one not in your shorts), you are going to turn up the boost a bit? Sounds like a great plan. So where in the 7s do you want to be?
.80s, 70s? TV

Actually my Signature has always been CORRECT, I started off running 8.40's and every year since I've been QUICKER! This is the first time I have actually said I'm coming out running 7's!! UNLIKE some racers who where ONE and DONE-ERS.......... When I do it, I won't be. ![]() GTO George |

I can't see how it's s hard for a 3000 car with High Ports and a blower not to go 7.50s the first season?
You would be a good Run for Leech pound for pound and he has some junk ass E heads N/A. And I am pretty sure your sig use to say headed for the sevens for like a decade or so!

..........,,,and this is coming from a guy who was changing head gaskets every 25 runs and just spent like over $20,000 in heads and intake to run 7's! LOL! No Brian had it pretty close 2008 is when I got my engine in with my almost out of the box HP Heads, that's when I wrote my Signature GTO George. |

George,
What did you do with the crank snout--have the old Pontiac-sized snout welded back on or go with a BBC-sized snout? And, what was your one small change--blower overdrive? Just curious. Jim

Jim,
I'm in "Stealth" mode! LOL!! I'm sorry I couldn't help myself. I kept the normal Pontiac snout size, mine lasted 10-12 years before it snapped off. If I planned on running more then 20 lbs of boost or drive the blower 30% more or less then I'd go with a support or different crank snout size. The small change is just that a small change.......nothing MAJOR. I still plan on running a boost range of 12-20 lbs of boost. GTO George |
