cars in primer bother me..im a bodyman....there is nothing availble for that thing....except what ever is lemans or GTO..and that means no metal...and anorthern car?????

a lot of money...i think the last 3 or 4 ive seen in that condition where 5 grand or less...

i dunno..if ya gotta have it...and you think its a deal, i guess its an OK car...just a very limited market...most ive seen in the last few years have gone to Australia and europe

It is a sweet car. I love the GTO/wagon deal.

I almost bought a 70 Chevelle wagon last year, but scared myself away when I realized that interior parts availability would be tough after you got past the front seats.

Arizona car? That interior is pretty nice for AZ. Most AZ interiors look like 4000 year old Egyptian mummies unless they were meticulously garage kept.

I can't comment on price since I am out of tune with Canadian vs. US money.

9,000 for a Finished car maybe, $4,500 to $5000 as it sets.

Not the greatest color combo.

Awesome guys, thanks! That is why I always check with club members first on the Pontiac's I'm not familiar with.

Cool

I agree w the primer cautionary red flags. Was among the 1st thing to pop into mind viewing the ad:
- "why from the front clip back in primer only?"
- "Was this a "nose job" T-41 option add on? Etc.
- Where's the rust and "issues?"
- PHS that is as advertised?

On the positive side:
- The expensive parts are there...
as long as the hood is rust free on the front and rear where they are notoriously known to rot out?
- I liked the video.
- A/C Complete system hooked up and appears complete.
- At least it's not "another green" car.

Buy it if you like it IMO.

One thing you'll find when asking about cars here (or on just about any car board) is that people are always going to say it's not worth the price...if it was a Ferrari selling for $100, someone would still say it was too much. Note that $9000 Canadian is about $8300 US, so it's not quite as expensive as it may seem. If the GTO style front end is documented original to the car that will add some value as it's pretty rare and desirable, and if it is in fact a rust free car that's a big plus as well. However, without seeing it in person it's impossible to say if it's really worth the asking price or not.

As Stuart says. If it's original with the GTO front end it's worth more. Back in 72 I saw a few GTO wagons on the streets of Rochester, NY. I heard the dealers added the GTO decals. And I've also heard a few came from the factory as GTO wagons.... true or not I'm not sure. But supposedly a very few did come out of the factory as GTO wagons The one I saw all the time belonged to a friend I worked with at Eastman Kodak. His had the GTO decals on it when he bought it new from a dealer, and was also a 4 speed wagon.

That 69 is sweet with the woodgrain.

This one looks familiar.....was it listed on PY before back in 2012 maybe?

Reminds me of my endura front wagon project bought from a member on PY. I paid to have it stored at another well known PY members place in AZ (who is all about saving Pontiacs).

I was collecting parts and waiting for it to be hauled to NC by another PY member

Storage property owner got "upset" over something I posted on PY about his ex employer (though the info was in national news at the time) so he pulled a Nancy and rolled/pushed it out of his property onto a City street.

It got impounded and racked up fees for a month or so before they contacted the owner on record (I had not changed the title) who contacted me.

Never even got the car....lol...and it cost after the sale.....gave it back to the seller over the trouble it caused and not sure what happened to it.

What a way to save an old Pontiac....lol.....?

I agree that it might be slightly over priced, but if the 72 front clip is in good shape that alone is worth some $$$ (have you priced one Lately? If you can find one!) If it has a nicely done 455, and is Solid (as almost anyone else has stated Primer scares me also) The interior does not look to bad, and yes 4-door and wagon interior parts are hard to come by.
A few other hard to come Wagon parts are the Tail Lights, and the rear cargo access cover, the side windows tend to leak, and the water siting one the cover rots them out.
On my Wifes 71 Lemans Wagon (that is getting a 70 GTO Nose) I have almost given up on finding correct door panels, and I am leaning on having a more modern interior made for it. It would not be that much more $$$ than having the original Door panels remade.
But if it is close to you it is worth a look. I am redoing a "Southern Car" and it still has rust in 1 Quarter, the interior is Baked, as are all the door seals.

See if the seller has pics before it was primed, that may answer a lot of unknowns. Is the seller a py member? It does look familiar.

The seller sent me a link to some more pictures and I have included it here but not sure if it will work.

I have also asked for pictures of it before primer.

Those wagons with Endura and honeycombs look great! Dream rig for me: graft a Cutlass Vista Cruiser roof on it

I have been emailing with the seller and he said he would go as low as $7500 Canadian on the price and he also sent me a picture of a piece of the PHS documentation noting the Endura Nose option. He may even safety it for me and has a rear seat and a set of rear interior panels.

I thought the same "I remember that car!" Wasn't this the same AZ "PY Guy" car from back then?"

Thought I'd saved some of the posted pix of that one...couldn't find them.
Instead, here's one that has a pretty cool look too IMO (below). Don't mind the fender dents. Enjoy!

Absolutely love the wheels.

If I get the car, depending on the shape of the tires currently on it, I may put the 'combs away for a bit and run the Rally II's I have, on it; 15x7 in the front and 15x8 in the rear.
