I've looked through my PHS billing history documents, but I can't find what box 74 and 75 are for. I have a "2" in box 74 and a "4" in box 75. Also, where does it tell you if you have a wide or close ratio 4-speed?
Thanks, Pat

742 and 754 started showing up together when the shoulder belts began getting installed - no cost.
742 is an operation code for the shoulder belts -we think at best anyway 754 is the shoulder belts Box 35 is for the transmission 351 is 400 THM Auto 354 is Wide Ratio M20 355 is HD 3spd Stick 358 is Close Ratio M21 |

Thanks Baron. I always thought I had a wide ratio 4-speed... the 354 on my billing history confirms it. I had been told that all '68 400 HO's came with 3.55 gears and close ratio 4-speed (if you ordered a manual). Obviously, that's not true!
Thanks again Baron! Pat

No problem Pat
If they had ordered 4 speed - and 3.90 or 4.33 gears - it would have gotten the Close Ratio M21 #358 |
