I was searching around for a Parchment vinyl top for my Windward car and started to notice that most of the vinyl tops for 69 were named white and not parchment. Joe in AZ gave me a call and we talked about this and he mentioned he has never seen the factory gold tinted parchment for any top (convert and vinyl top). So I really started digging on the net and found that the only company to possibly carry parchment vinyl tops was SMS auto fabrics thru a posting on Chevelle website. So I called SMS and Legendary for their vinyl top samples to see. This had me thinking and a friend from work reminded me that I have a original dealer 1969 Pontiac Colors/Interiors/Accessories binder. I came home and looked and here is what I saw.
My other question is with a correctly restored car, is the headliner suppose to be white or parchment with gold tint like the seats/door panels, and also was the console white or parchment with gold tint? What are your guys thoughts/opinions as I can honestly say I have never seen/remember a original 69 parchment vinyl top example.
