Were Red Line Tires available on a 69?
and if so could they have been optioned for a factory 69 Sprint Convertible?

Hi,
Yes, one of my 69 Birds came with "F70x14 RL FG" tires on the PHS. Canadian GM docs show " Option PY5, TIRE: F70-14-4 PR - HWY - FB - RED STRIPE" Steve |

There were actually 3 different redlines in 69 birds:
E70 redline PX3 HC (available only on 1bbl 6 for $31.60) F70 redline PW8 MC (NC on 400, $46.34 on 1bbl 6, $37.60 on 350 and Sprint) F70 redline PY5 MT fiberglass ($26.33 on 400, $72.67 for 1bbl 6 and $57.93 for the Sprint and 350) My 69 Sprint came with the PY5 fiberglass redlines.

They were available 'til '69. F70-14 was the size. Here's my '67 when new with the Firestone F70-14's.
