It's been awhile since I have posted anything on this forum. This is a subject I am sure many of you have several thoughts on.
here are a quick few that "bug" me: Whoever invented the stupid kernals used in packing items for shipping. Always a mess and more so if its windy when you open the box. Or they stick to the item in the box. Speed bumps in parking lots. If the roads are not bad enough in my state adding speed bumps in parking lots adds to the thrill. Traffic lite cameras a million dollar or more windfall for some cities. Tough to argue your way out of one of those tickets. So, what invention or products do you think we could do without? In Minneapolis they ruled that they can't use the cameras to give you a ticket for running a red light. Something about not being able to prove who was driving.

In Illinois they take a pic of the driver through the windshield.

I second the speed bumps in parking lots.
There are some around here that aren't straight across the lane, but at an angle, so you have to slow down even more. If not, it's like hitting 4 speed bumps instead of 1. Not necessarily a product, but whomever had the bright idea to make you answer 20 questions at the gas pump before you can start pumping, should be shot.

Almost anything for the kitchen or related to cooking that is really just a gimmick and does a job (sort of) that is done by other things we already have. Only the stupid Sheeple buy this crap but the rest of us have to endure the asinine TV commercials.
And telemarketers/automated sales calls! I have NEVER purchased a single thing nor even listened to their BS pitches on the phone and don't personally know anyone else who has fallen for that crap either. So why is it still going on? All it does for me is create a negative view of that product or service since I connect it with invading my privacy. The do not call list is a bunch of Government BS too.

Caller ID has been a godsend for our house where telemarketers and political calls are concerned.

Unfortunately, what they really wanted....more revenue...did not happen. http://chicago.cbslocal.com/2014/10/...dministration/ As for my entry...the earwax vacuum that they advertise on late night TV. The one where the guy sticks a q-tip in his ear and goes..OW!

Tire Pressure Monitor Sensors (TPMS) - tire gauges still work fine, are inexpensive, and accurate.
Engine Oil Level Sensors - the dipstick works and is free with purchase Rain Sensing Wipers - are we too lazy to flip a switch and use the variable speed feature? And of course, Traction Control!!!! I was going to say Hollywood and Rock'nRoll after 1980 but I didn't want to start anything

I agree 100% With Greg Reid. Cost a 25 yr veteran ( Full time Fire Captain) his job up here for comments about Muslims and the stuff going on around the world. I have been preaching to guys to watch what you post and it came back to bite him. Ed
