Default Running or sitting on jack stands

So how are all the power adder Pontiac's doing?

Mine is running good, converter is still to loose, thinking my turbine side is too small for 488" may even check the psi by installing a gauge come spring.

So what's up out there?

Jack stands, engine stand, garage attic full of interior parts. Aligning all body panels fixin hinges etc drill alignment holes for realignment after disassembly.... then start my chassis building. Cost to do just back-half with cage kit is near same as doing 25.4 chassis in same material so might as well do 25.4 chassis instead. May never go that quick but better done now than redo later. I can go basic on motor til I'm ready to go more. So basically build a real strong shortblock and use stockish heads modest turbos. Only building a 406 as I plan for multiple purpose Street/Highway/Strip and drag week sounds like a future plan. Turbos can make up for a bunch of cubes and I can still get fair mpg at 406. twin 72's should more than cover my power needs when ready for better heads. MS-Pro with fuel sensing for gas or E85 is fuel plan regardless.

My Tempest is running, but with only one more race date this year (December 6th). They're running jet cars that day and I'm not sure about track prep. Still working on my tune-up. Made a couple of high seven-second passes last time out, but I think there's a tenth in the tune and another tenth at the starting line with a little more work. The schedule for 2015 isn't out yet, but I've got some off-season work to do: oil change, check compression, new front tires (purchased, but not installed yet). I hope to have it all sorted out by Pontiac Heaven in Phoenix in April.

Jim

Blower Pontiac running good. Just upgraded to new front tires, installed some different springs to lower rear of car. Of course, had to buy new rear rims with more offset, so they fit in wheel well. Just waiting on new tires to show up, and will be ready once weather breaks... Hopefully get my 10:40 pass in 2015 in street trim....

No jack stands. If you push it it moves. Engine in mock up and assy.

Up and running here, but winter weather has me out of action due to road salt.
I do have some winter upgrades planed in the trans department, new 6an lines with the addition of a cooler line relief valve and front pump converter feed restrictor. I went through thrust bearing hell on my turbo ford! it wont happen to my Pontiac. Im also thinking of having my 75mm compressor wheel upgraded to an 80, a local company can do it for $300.

Took out old 1 3/4 6 point bar and installing cage, so I wont have to slow down.
MR-1A Shortblock getting built 4" stroke 4.25 bore.....should be fun, aiming for 1000HP with the F1C.

1990 Firebird (Was v6 base model w/aero pkg so it looks like TA) pics locked up in other pc til I get around to replacing power supply. Solid car I picked up minus v6 for $300. Cosmetically needs new nose piece and paint but its near rust free. Interior was a bit rough. Basically a great candidate seein Im goin Pontiac power narrowed Ford 9, big tires etc. Engine is my 59 block.

I'll start a build thread after I get around to fixin pc.

Mine is running good in the driveway! Lol! Haven't driven it yet. Had to do a bunch of wiring....and I hate wiring. By the spring I need to change the gear, work on a cage, and see what the converter does.

Sitting on a hoist, no wonder it's ready to go.
