What are the proper screws to attach the reveal molding with the window fuzzies attached to the quarter and door. It has to be something that won't hit the glass as you roll the window up and down.

No body knows what screws are used. Are they riveted.

Pontiac used flat head sheet metal screws. I believe they are #8 size.
When I purchased a set of fuzzies from Top Cat whiskers/fuzzies, (something like that) they included chrome plated screws to attach the fuzzies.
The screws pass through the fuzzies, through the aluminum reveal trim (stainless on Conv. cars) and into the metal flange of the door. When tightened, the screw head squishes into the rubber/fuzzy material and the fuzzy stuff kind of folds back over the screw somewhat to hide the screw head. So you must be sure to screw it in hard enough to seat it deep enough not to protrude and potentially scratch the glass.

I had a few stripped threads, so I drilled them and used flat head machine screws and nuts on the other sides. Actually, I made my own "nuts" that were shaped like rectangles so they would not spin when the screws were threaded in.

It appears to me that the way these fuzzies/trim were fastened was not one of GM's better ideas. The factory assembly guys just shot screws willy nilly into the stuff in a "close enough" manner.

The reproduction fuzzies have predrilled holes for the screws, but fit is probably not going to any good. You will have to oversize and/or redrill holes in the fuzzies. Top Whisker brand has worn out tooling and the tabs that slip into the square holes in the door (and rear side window) are crappy. You will have to fuss with them. But it can be done with patience.

I used the screws that were supplied with my fuzzies and the heads are large enough to be obvious. That is, they are too large. I plan to touch them up with black paint to make them disappear. As for scraping the glass, I'm not worried about that. They are nice and flat.
Oh, by the way, some people do rivet them.

Where did you get those? Much nicer then what Metro supplies.
