Horrible experience with this guy. Sent him a distributor to be converted. He was responsive, answered questions, etc. Gave me a 15 day turnaround time. Great! Insists on Postal Money Order as payment. When the time comes, I ask via if it is almost done / when to expect it? No answer. Few days later send another email and leave a voice mail. No answer. Every week or so repeat. No answer. After a few months, I ask a friend to inquire about his services. Maybe he is sick in the hospital or something. Nope...gets right back to him. His web site says he will not cash the funds until the distributor is sent out. I put a trace on the money order..he cashed it right away. He is across the country so I start proceedings to take him to small claims since I can attend via phone. I have him served. Suddenly I get my distributor back 3 days after he gets served! I decide to drop it since I am just done with this guy. I eat $80 court costs. Is the distributor nice? Yes. Do you want to have your parts and money held hostage? Up to you. Just thought I would relay my experience.

I should also mention that while my car was down with this distributor fiasco, I sent my ProSystems carb back to them for their recommended rebuild which was way overdue according to them. I could write a separate review on that but the short story is the carb came back and ran horribly, smoked like crazy, idled at 1200 rpm, etc. I had so much trouble just getting hold of them to rebuild it I decided to cut bait on them. I put a spare carb on (much better) and sent the prosystems carb out to Jeff Esmel (Shaker455) along with the Dave Ray distributor since Jeff offered to curve it as a package with the carb. Jeff is still working on the carb, but he sent the distributor back to get my car on the road. I must say it is noticeably more responsive and snappy. Jeff said the curve was coming in late. Sounds like Dave just put a generic curve on it and didn't take any of my motor specs into consideration.
