Did he finally go fast enough where he needed one?

Who's Installation kit did you purchase? I used one from S&W and they have a couple illustrations that came with it that will help you out. Also search the topic on yellowbullet and you'll find a couple picts there also. I can take some picts tonight for you if you can't find anything by then.

Keep in mind this from rule book:

Quote:
Window net must be securely mounted on the inside of the roll cage, with the permanent attachment at the bottom. All attachment points must be designed in an attempt to protect the driver and avoid contact with track surface or guardwall. Eyelet clips, dog leash hardware, hoseclamps, etc. prohibited. Penetration of webbing, except as performed per manufacturer’s instructions, prohibited. Any other modification to net must be performed by manufacturer.

Have a net made that fits the cage, it doesn't cost that much compared to the universal ones that will likely fit like crap.

You can mount it in a variety of methods, I've had the seat belt buckle styles, the male end always ends up in an area where you snag it with your head every now and then, it hurts, lol. So this time I went with a spring loaded rod set up.

The angle of the photo are deceiving, the clips are "inside the cage" on the radius of the tube but not pointed straight at you so its sure to snag, prod, and poke.

I later added padding on that side of the cage (SFI padding not the cheap pool noodle stuff the sell as "padding").
