Pontiac Heaven XVII in sunny AZ
We made it out to Pontiac Heaven today in the early afternoon of a perfect spring day. This was my second time going to the event at the former Firebird Raceway (now Wildhorse Pass Motorsports Park), and from a spectator perspective, I really like the new venue!
We caught most of the cars still in the car show area, and watched first round of eliminations. Also had time to say a quick hello to Squidward from PY and Old Man Taylor. I have some pictures from the car show, plus a few of some of the pairs of racers at the starting line. Enjoy! PS - the attached photos have all been resized and compressed.  frittering and wasting the hours in an off hand way.... 1969 GTO, 455ci, 230/236 Pontiac Dude's "Butcher Special" Comp hyd roller cam with Crower HIPPO solid roller lifters, Q-jet, Edelbrock P4B-QJ, Doug's headers, ported 6X-8 (97cc) heads, TKO600, 3.73 geared Eaton Tru-Trac 8.5", hydroboost, rear disc brakes......and my greatest mechanical feat....a new heater core.
