Default New Project, Maybe.

I posted this in the Lobby along with several pictures. i have a few questions that may help me decide whether to buy the cars or not.
First, what is the easiest way to convert the 5x5 wheel lug spacing to 5 x 4.75?
Second, is there any market for the parts I won't need for the fastback? And last is the 50 sedan with all the accessories worth keeping or would you part it out?
here's a link to my thread with the pictures.

I'm not that up on the Pontiac version but I have some knowledge of Chevrolet in the same years. 2 door couples and fastbacks here in the west are doing well in driver condition but as a fixer in that condition they are very slow to sell. The price sounds about right for all three cars though.

As for resale on the sedan, IMO that will be best to part out. Not many people willing to spend time and money on 4 doors. There are many nice examples out there selling for far less than it will cost to restore one.

They can be redrilled. At least the rears on my 61 were redrilled for Chevy bolt pattern when it was converted to Corvette discs. The front was not redrilled as it was converted to Corvette spindles and discs so it came with the 5x4.75 bolts. But maybe the fronts can be redrilled also. You just need a good machine shop.

I doubt that you can just change to Chevy parts directly. The Pontiac rear end is not the same as Chevy (I think open drive shaft vs torque tube) so changing axel shafts would not likely work. As for the front I don't think anything interchanges. At least Auto Interchange doesn't think so.

But maybe by the time you get a project done you will have updated all the anyway.
