Default Torque box replacement

Has anyone replaced the torque box on a Trans Am? I was wandering if there are any tricks to doing this without messing up the frame rail? Is it spot welded to frame rail and is it possible to remove it without wrecking the rail, don't care about the floor pan as i have to do some work in that area anyway. It's a 80 Trans Am, tried doing a search but it seems search option does not work for me on here. Thanks to anyone that can help me out.

Someone out there must have replaced a torque box, just wandering if it's possible to remove it without destroying the frame rail in that area. Thanks for any help on this.
