Hey everyone!
Been a long time since I've been on here... Guess that happens once you have a kid

And another thing possible once you have a kid(s).. With great reluctance I'm going to part with one of my beloved Pontiacs

I planned on putting it on here & out front of my house for a big car show coming up in 2 weeks but am unsure what it should go for. I can't find any 77/8 project cars for sale anywhere.
My husband started doing the body work for me many years ago. Here's some of that;

And here's some pics I took last night. I have all the parts to put it back together, other then 1 piece that was rotted & wasn't available years ago when Jory was doing the work. Something needed for holding in the gas tank. We were going to just go with a fuel cell since I only raced the car but never got that far so it can be put back to "stock" now that that part is made.

Back in 1995 or 96 I had Jim Taylor build a 462 for it. My best run was 12.43 at 105? or 107? don't remember. It has an TH350 that never gave me any issues, other then it leaks when it sits.. While Jory was working on the body he also installed new Doug's ceramic coated headers. I have a 3" Pypes exhaust system for it with I think Violator mufflers, not installed. I also have decent used doors for it, the ones on are bad at the bottom. And I have an extra nose piece, red. Plus some other little stuff, as Jory finds it.

One of Jory's customers saw it last night & offered me $3000. I'm tempted to take it but if it's worth more....

sounds cheap to me, good deal for him!
I bet that motor is worth a couple grand alone & you'd be throwing the car in for free.

First thing I thought. I'd tell the guy to give me time to get the engine out and we got a deal.

I would but I didn't think the car itself would be worth that much. We got him up to $4000 for everything. I hate to see it go but since I'm still mostly unemployed I need the money. And I do have another 455 block...

Call Overhaulin, or one of the other classic car rescue shows, put together a good story, and submit, you could get lucky.

$4k isn't a bad deal, usually people take a bath on selling project cars. Used engines, regardless of who built them, are tough to move for any money. I've seen $10k engines sell for $2 after sitting on a stand for 2-3 years.

What's it worth to you? If you were to buy one that would be similar to the one you have done, what would it cost? How much would it cost for you to finish it? How much could you get for yours if it were done?

It might be an option to borrow the money to finish it, and sell it finished.

Would you always look back and say to yourself "I should have kept that car" ?

If you need money that bad, what about selling the ones next to it there in the pic? All of them. Or sell 1, finish one, sell that and finish the last. In the end, you would get more of what they're worth.
