I've had my 67 Firebird now for about 14 years and up until today I had no idea what kind of power she has. So today I took her up to the dyno tuners and found out I have 273 hp and 358 ftlbs of torque. Not bad for a 65 389 that I have no idea what if anything has ever been done to it. The only givens are a Holly 650 double pumper, edelbrock performer rpm intake, full length headers and a full flowmaster system.

The number you have there are just about correct for a stock engine in that size. A 65 389 should have right at 350 Gross HP. which would be about 275 HP at the wheels. So just about right. Now remember gross is measured at the crank without the alt. or P/S hooked up & net is what you got at the wheels with everything hooked to it.

Yup, right where it should be, and you can also see very clearly why shifting above 5200 will only serve to slow you down!

Good to know it's pretty much where it should be.
I need to dial in the accelerator pumps a little more to get rid of some hesitation but other then that I'm pretty happy with the results. The next thing may be a set of heads.

Looks pretty good. Slightly lean, maybe go up 2 or 3 jet sizes on the secondaries. Should run very well.
