Default 1968 reinforcement braces/no hop bars

Did the factory install "reinforcement braces" (see pic) on all 1968 A-body cars with a 4 speeds? What if it was a 3 speed manual?
If so I am a little disappointed that they are missing on my car. Were these sometimes removed for exhaust clearance or? If they are supposed to be on the car I would be looking to buy a pair of OEM ones.
I have no wheel hop in either car but always looking for correctness.
How about "no hop bars" (see pic). Were these aftermarket or a factory piece?
Thanks.

Don't know about applications for the frame braces, but the no hop bars are definitely aftermarket only.

These braces, I believe, were all manual trans cars. They were added reinforcements for driveline shock. Chevelles had them also and literature states that these were installed on all manual applications.

I have the original braces if you still need a pair. email me.

On manual trans cars. I was told they help prevent rear crossmember/frame damage over the rearend.
